My favorite so far is, I e-mailed a co-worker asking him to return a call to Mr. Lyon and provided him with the phone number. What he didn't know was that the number was to our local zoo. And too funny, he did call and ask for Mr. Lyon and the woman that answered the phone told him that the

only "Lyons" they have there are un-tamed lions. LOL!

Ahhhh... I can't believe my co-worker fell for that!

Woooo! Whooo! Big changes are in the works and on the way for Creations By Rachael Designs. The first of those is that she closed (or is closing) all of her stores, so that she can go exclusive on April 1st. Yep! That's only two days away!!! Wooot!

For the next few days she is having a sale at Scrap Matters before that store closes, and then this Friday she’ll be opening her new store. Sorry, it's still a secret though on where she's going exclusive! Heee! Heee! So, for now shoppe away at Scrap Matters at 50% prices on all of her goodies there! :-)

Good Saturday morning to you! I hope your weekend is off to a great start!

I'm hoping for a much better weekend, than the week I had. My Emma has been sick for days and says she is feeling better this morning. Thank you goodness for antibiotics! Thus, things are lookin' up~

It's starting to warm up, here in Wisconsin and day-light-savings is tomorrow...

Sure signs that Spring is coming! Wooot!

And other then work, family, and packing my Mom... we've been prepping for our annual trip to Mexico. Vacation can't come soon enough!!!

I thought I would pop in and share one of Creations By Rachael's latest kit. I spaced bloggin' about it when it first hit the shops, so to make things right, I'm doing it now!

Any how, enough of my flappin'... I'll move on to why I'm here...

Update on Creations by Rachael

I'm guessing a few of you Creations by Rachael followers have heard some rumors while out-and-about in digi world, so I wanted to share Rachael's post from her blog, so you have the honest scoop. So here it is, or you can head on over to her blog here.

There has been some talk about what’s going on with me so I thought I would post and clear things up.

My store at TDC is in the middle of a store closing sale. This has been planned for weeks and is closing because I do not have the time to make exclusive kits on top of my normal ones.

Yesterday my store at GP was turned off. While I was planning on leaving the store at the end of March it was not my plan to do it so soon. The owner there disabled it without my knowledge after I gave notice.

My store at SM will be closing at the end of March. This has nothing to do with any gossip or drama you may have heard. I have nothing but love for the designers (and CT) and SM. I think they rock! I’m even going to still be going to the forum as much as I can.
So what are my plans?

It’s simple. In April I will be designing at a whole new store. With a special needs son and my mom needing so much help and medical care I felt it was best to focus my attention on one store. Which is great for you because it means more kits and more time for me to have fun giveaways and contests. My crew and I are ready to make this year my best year ever!

This is a huge change for me, but I promise its going to be a good one.

And yes, I played it brave and nominated a couple of my LOs. Not that I don't think my LOs are worthy, but it's just way weird to nominate myself. (*blushin'*) Both layouts are created using my fav designer's work, from over there; Ruth Melody Designs.

Here are the LOs I nominated. This first one, I nominated in the "WOW Factor" catagory.

I'm thinkin' it's worthy. :-) What do you think? I scrapped some gorgeous and fun Autumn pics, but used a black & white treatment on them. I honestly never thought I would do this with such richly colored photos, but it really made them standout when scrappin' with this beautiful kit of Ruth's.

I also like my clean composition, my journal box and my simple touches of softness.

She has has a few full time spots available and 2-3 guest spots open each month through June. And if you get a guest spot you could be asked to stay on full time after that month if she has a full time spot open.

Requirements are:

- 4 layouts a month

- 1 QP per kit (guests are not required to do this, but it helps if you are looking to go to a full time spot.)

- Enabling at DST, DSA, FB Etc. – We have a schedule for this and you get the same days every month

- Posting to at least 3 Galleries- DST required, GP or SM, plus you can choose one of your own.

Rachael likes her girls to be active in her CT forum and in the store forums. It’s fine if your the quite type, but she at least needs to know your hanging around and keeping up on whats going on.

Happy New Year and Happy Friday to you! I hope you and your family had a blessed Christmas and may the New Year bring you much happiness! My holiday was wonderful, busy... but wonderful! Thus, why it's been a few weeks since I posted. I spent alot of time with family and friends, eating, drinking and being merry. Now that holidays are behind us for another year, it's time to focus on other things... like scrappin'! :-)

Pain the Moon Actions and Scraps

Hey there... I thought I would pop in share a few things... mostly layouts, and quiet a few too.

Yep! I've beeen a busy little scrapper! And I luv it!

But first I wanted to share this pic I took of my beautiful daughter Emma. The pic itself was gorgeous because of the location(amoungst the beauty of Autumn) and well, my girl is a natural beauty, but after some color correction I also ran one of Paint The Moon's Actions on it which perfected this pic. The action I used is from her "Fresh Wonderland" set and I used the Candy Light Pop action.

And I then whitened up her eyes a bit. And whala... instantly stunning.

The first was a LO I created for the 10/02 Saturday Special Challenge I participated in

over at Matter a Scraps. I so love challenges, becasue it helps me focus.

Ya know, so the LO doesn't go astrary... LOL! Mine do that alot... ;-)

This challenge was to scrap a panoramic photo

and it helped me scrap a photo size I typical don't scrap. Loved it!

I am the biggest hoarding of her designs, really I am!

I love her creations and own alot of them and figured it's about time to get scrappin' um'!

What helped me along on this, was I found that she set up shoppe at Sugar Hill Co! Woot!

She does have a shoppe over at Digi Scrappers Brasil, but I just didn't feel comfortable there,

simply because there main language is not English... Don't get me wrong, it's a great site and all... but I'm feeling like Sugar Hill Co is a better fit for me. Anyhow, so I'm hanging my hat there some now too.

Oh, and one last thing... I wanted to mention that I recently stepped-down from my Creative Team spots with Late Night Scraps and Amanda Carlson Designs.

I had been tossing it around in my head for a bit now, and finally got the guts up to do it

(It was hard, after being with them for so long... they feel like family... ya know...).

I know I'm gonna miss them, the teams, and the designs they created, but

I was feeling the need to free up some time...(Maybe to scrap some of those hoarded designs I have in my stash! LOL! More family time... additional time to help Mom, stuff like that.)

So... I'm currently on one Creative Team - Creations by Rachael.

Well, I guess I'm out of here for the night! Off to the couch with the pup and kitties.

Hey there peeps!!! It's Friday!!! I hope your week has been better then mine... I've been a bit under-the-weather with a virus, and slowly getting back to the norm. Thank goodness, because we have some wonderful plans for the weekend. We are going to spend some time out in this beautiful Autmn weather and hit a local corn maze/pumpkin patch and also, we are going to our local Fall Festival.

Good Sunday evening to you peeps! I hope your weekend was as wonderful as mine, but it definately went by wayyyyy too fast!!! But, I must show you just a glimpse of the fun that went on in our house over the weekend! My Emma had her three best friends over night last night. It involved all things girl related; Makevers, dress-up, pyramids, jumping and just plain old attitude!

I'm quite positve the girls had a blast and all will sleep well tonight. I know I will! LOL!

Besides doing the girl thing, I spent some quality time with my Emma. We went out for dinner at here favorite place, El Mariachis'. Yumminess!

I also did some fair amount of cleaning and laundry here at home. And then topped my weekend off with time spent with my Mom. We chatted and enjoyed Mom's good cookin' and I washed windows for her. I so love helping my Mom. She's always been there for me, and I will thus, always be there for her.

But, wait! Well of course my weekend included some digi shoppin' and scrappin!

I mean come on... it just wouldn't be a weekend without it!!! LOL!

Happy Friday all! I'm glad you found your way to my blog, I have lots to share...

Happy Monday peeps! Can you believe it's the end of August already? Where did the Summer go? Though I do luv Summer, I'm so lookin' forward to Fall and nature's beauty!

My Emma will be back at school come Wednesday and she's very excited to be entering the 6th grade. Because this last weekend was the last weekend before going back to school, we wrapped up Summer break with a whole lot of fun! Let me share a few pics from our past weekend fun.

Friday: A day trip to Noah's Ark in the Dells with my Emma and her friend Delaney!

We had an absolute blast!

Saturday morning: Some horse back riding at one of my best friend's farm.

Emma thoroughly enjoyed this and probably would have stayed all day

if I let her! A big THANK YOU to Becky and her daughter Haylee

for making Emma's Summer complete!

Friday Night: We topped off our day with dinner outwith family and friends, and our adorable

neice Gracyn! Fun was had by all and we all left with full tummies!

Sunday: Emma and Tony went golfing in the morning and the rest of the day was spent by the pool, basting in the sun! Ahhhhwwww... what a wonderful weekend we had!

In the digi world, my three CT gigs have been pretty quiet the last week or so, thus it’s allowed me the time to scrap with a number of kits I purchased recently. Wooot! I do love, love, love the creations by the designers I CT for, but it’s always fun to scrap other designers work too. Lord knows there an unbelievable amount of amazing designers out in the digi world.(Although, I must admit, I’m partial to the work by Creations by Rachael, Late Night Scraps, and Amanda Carlson Designs!) :-)

Happy Sunday to you! So glad you popped in for a visit!

I hope your Sunday has been a wonderful one. Me... I spent the afternoon in the sun by the pool with family.

Ahhhh... the perfect way to spend the day... so very relaxing. The temp here is was 85 and the pool temp was 90; perfect pool weather indeed.

Good morning friend and scrappers! I hope your Friday is off to a wonderful start! Mine is... I spent a little time at work and now I'm back at home sneekin' in a little puter time! Wooot!

Then we are off to the Whitehouse of Music to drop of my Emma's new(new to her) clarinet for a tuning and cleaning. Yep! We are going to have a clarinet player in the house. She is so very excited, and hasn't put the thing down for very long since we picked it up last night! LOL! I love seeing the excitement in her when she is learning some thing new.

Oh, and then I'm off for a mamagram. I keeping my fingers crossed that all turns out good with this one! Cross your fingers for me too!

It's Friday! Woot! I decided to start my weekend early and took a personal day off from work. I'm sittin' pretty good with my work-load and the boss is out-of-town, so I thought it might be a good day to take off. Good Sunday morning to you; I hope your day is off to a beautiful start! I'm enjoying the quiet in the house with coffee and puter time... Ahhhh.... The hubby ran into work for a bit and my girl is still sound a sleep. I too slept in this morning, til 7:00 a.m. and it was wonderful! Now I'm here at my puter, with the sound of birds singing outdoors... It's very relaxing... :)

It was a busy week for me, which is nothing new, I know... LOL! Between work, Emma finishing up her 5th Grade school year and touring living options for my Mom, I was kept on my feet.

We've been lookin' into living options for my Mom, because her home has just become too much for her to take care of and us kids worry about her safety, with her there by herself. In addition, her income will be changing drastically in a couple of years and she just won't be able to afford to stay living there. It's been hard for her, thinking of having to let go of what Dad and her worked so many years for... We did tour some beautiful options for her though, which gave even more to think about.

Now for the change... Ever since the realization that Mom just won't be able to stay there by herself for too much longer, many options have run through our heads. Wanting to do what makes Mom happy has been our goal all along. But, her moving in with my oldest brother or my sister & her hubby moving in with her, just wasn't what she wanted. She feels it would disrupt their family life... From the beginning, I've so wanted her to move in with us, but we live in a tri-level and she just wouldn't be able to do the stairs. I of course thought of how nice it would be to move in with her, but I would have never have suggested to my hubby... I know how much he loves our home(and so do Emma and I) and it's location her on the golf course. Not to mention, all the work he has put into our home to make it beautiful. The pool, the huge deck that surrounds the pool, and the enclosure of our porch. But, Tony left me speechless Friday night, by suggesting we sell our home and buy my Mom's so she can stay living there. I honestly was speechless. But, now I'm gleeming with happiness... I know we will miss our home here, but we would make a new home there with my Mom.... So much to think about....

Anyhow, in my scrappin' world, here is what's been going on...

Well... well... look who's back! Yep! Me... Lor! I have been missing in action a bit, haven't I? I've been wayyyy busy with life, and fun stuff too! Woot!

Last Saturday, Emma and I planned a mother-daughter day. Our original plan was to hit State Street in Madison, which we did. But... Emma wasn't real thrilled with it; she hated the crouds of people. And because I didn't like my girl being uncomfortable, I offered to take her to the Henry Vilas Zoo. And we were both very glad we did, because we had a blast. Here are a number of my favs shots from our day.

Just enjoying the nice Summer weather. The entire family is loving it!

Good evening! I so hope your week has been going well. Mine has been very busy... between work and the end of the school year activities for my daughter Emma, I haven't had much spare time at all. But with all those activities, come pics! Me luv pics! :)

Here are a couple of pics from the D.A.R.E. Graduation Ceremony from Monday Night. I am so very proud of my Emma and all of her fellow class mates for their accomplishments in the program. If you are curious what D.A.R.E. stands for, it is "Drug Abuse Resistance Education." Millions of school children around the world benefit from D.A.R.E., the highly acclaimed program that gives kids the skills they need to avoid involvement in drugs, gangs, and violence.

D.A.R.E. was founded in 1983 in Los Angeles and has proven so successful that it is now being implemented in 75 percent of our nation's school districts and in more than 43 countries around the world. If you'd like to learn more, you can check out their site here.

My little Graduate!

Wednesday night our Girl Scout Troop went to a local horse ranch to learn how to care for and ride horses. This was their second evening spent at the ranch and they now have earned the horse badge. Talk about some very excited 11 year old girls! They had a complete blast! My Emma was so intrigued by it, that she wants to attend the camp, at the ranch this Summer(we'll see if we can afford that...). I took loads of pics, but haven't had the time to download them off of my camera. Soon though... soon... (I'm dying to scrap them!!!)

Happy Thursday peoples! So how is your week going? Mine has been a busy one... Work, dance lessons for my Emma, doctor appointments and all sorts of other things... But, I wanted to the time to come tell you about a few things scrap related.

New Layouts and Digital Goodies!!!

Well, hi there!!! How is your Sunday going? I so hope it's been a good one for you! Mine hasn't been all that bad I guess... considering I'm on my third day of having a headache... And today was the worst of all three... But, my Mom always told me, "The third one, and your out!" So, I'm figuring tomorrow I should be headache free...

With or without a headache all weekend, I did still get alot accomplished around the house. I had a list of things to get done and I got it all done and more. Ahhhhh... the feeling of accomplishment...

Now that it's Sunday night, I guess it's back to work for me tomorrow. Other then that, I really don't have much on the agenda for the week. It's suppose to be nice out, so maybe Emma and I will go for a bike ride and a walk. (And yep, I always take my camera with!) Tuesday night my girl has dance lessons and Wednesday night we will be off to visit Grandma, like we do every Wednesday night. That's what my week looks like... the norm. Oh, and the hubby is headin' out of town for work. As long as this headache is gone, the week should be a good one.

Well for digi stuff, I have a couple of LOs to share using some goodies from Creations by Rachael. She is such a sweet boss-lady! She gifts our CT with some exclusive goodies, for just us to play with. And of course, the goodies always rawk! See.... Well, and of course booth LOs are of my Emma!!! (Obviously, Emma is my biggest inspiration for scrappin'! How can one not wanna scrap that face!)

This first one is a prime example of me goofin' around in PSE... Extraction and title play... a bit out of the ordinary for me. And so fun! (Oh, and this LO is for the April All Stacked up challenge for over at Gotta Pixel.)

Good evening everyone! I hope your week is going well! Mine is going pretty good... Getting things accomplished at work and at home. And of course I'm squeezing in some scrappin time! :) I guess we are getting back into the groove here, after our vacation... Work, school and dance for Emma, and family time...

I finally scrapped some pics from Emma's basketball season and I just loved how it turned out. I used Sports Mania: Basketball by Heather Roselli of The Sweet Shoppe. I do beleive I'll be scrappin' with this kit again; I luv it! :)

I also did some scrappin' of last year's Easter pics. Yep! I was excited for Easter this year, soooo.... Anyhow I used "Easter Day" by Creations by Rachael of Plucky Pear Designs! Isn't it just the cutest kit ever! I plan to use this on some of this year's pics too.

And here is my creation, with last years pics. My Emma and neice Jenna, hunting for goodies. Easter is always special around our house because ever since my sister Marcie's passing, Jenna spends the Easter holiday with us. We look forward to it every year!

Oh, and I must show a sneak peak of what's coming to Plucky Pear this Friday, April 9th! It's called "Happiness" and the color palette is awesome?!!! A must have for sure! It's plump full of gorgeous elements and perfectly textured and patterned papars. So be watching for it!

Hey there... It's been a while... Well, we are back from our annual vacation in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, and as usual, it was gorgeous there! It was sunny every day and the temps were in the 80's. Perfect weather! It was an amazing trip and the week went by way to fast! I miss the beauty of it already... But, one good thing is, we came back to Spring in Wisconsin, instead of snow, which has also been beautiful. The grass is greening up and tulips have blossomed, and oh I even spotted a couple of Robins! But, I must share a few of my favorite pics from our vacation.

This here is the sunrise we experienced every morning. Along with a walk on the beach, it was the perfect way to start our day.

And then the sunset...

This here is a night shot of the walk-way and fountain in the center of the resort. We had a view of it from our room; it is gorgeous during the day and at night.

Good Thursday morning to you! I hope your having a great week! Mine has been a busy one... Busy prepping and preparing for upcoming trip to PV, Mexico! It's 5 days and counting... I can't believe it's almost here already! Getting way excited! The suit cases are out, and shorts, swimsuits & flip flops are beginning to fill them up! Wooo! Whooo!

Besides preparing for our upcoming trip, I've also been preparing for a digi class I taught last weekend(which went well). And I believe I pulled a few more paper scrappers over to the digi side! :)

And the weekend before last, I spent at Upham Woods with our Girl Scout troop, which was a blast and an great learning experience for all of the girls! We did some Winter camping, yes Winter camping!!! One thing I learned, was that I much prefer 5 star hotels over cabins with bunks. LOL!

But, needless to say, all these fun things have left me with very little time to scrap and tend to y blog... So, I'm squeezing it in, here and there. :)

As for my digi world, first and formost, I must tell you about a Creative Team call by Creations by Rachael! I'm on Rachael's team and I must say it's like having your cake and eating it too! Happy Sunday everyone! I hope you have a great day planned and enjoy what ever your Sunday brings your way! I have a full day ahead of me... ironing, shower, deliver Jenna Jane back to her Daddy, and then off to a class a reunion planning meeting later this afternoon. Thus, I'm up early and getting a jump on my day.

The first thing that comes to mind these days for our family, including me, is our up coming trip the Riu Jalisco in PV, Mexico. Only 23 more days until our departure!! Woooo! Whooo! I've done some shoppin' and I'm set, now I just gotta be sure my girl is set. She has grown so much since last Spring, that she is going to need so much! Thank goodness we only have one child to clothe! LOL! Anyhow, sharing a few more pics of our destination. :)

Last night my Emma and Jenna spent the evening with Grandma, so it allowed me some down-time later on in the evening. Thus, I did some playing. I came across some fun software call Shape Collage and just started playing. Here are a few of my creations! Fun hey?!!! Oh, and the software is free, so go on over and check it out! And enjoy!

Otherwise, not much going on in my digi world... All though, I do wanna share some info on a new collab release by Amanda Carlson Designs and Spinky Dink Scraps. It's a yummy kit and and full of sweet treats and lots of color! You can find it over at Elemental Scraps tomorrow!

I did some playing with it last night and created this. I wanted to create a LO reflecting how it can be used to scrap those pics other then for sweet treats. Cool hey?!

Good Sunday to you all! Hope your weekend and Valentines has been a wonderful one! My weekend was a busy one... cleaning, laundry, shopping, and spending some time with my Mom and helping her... I didn't get much scrappin' in... :( But, a very rewarding weekend indeed!

Here are a few pics from Valentines in our household... Tony opening his card/gift from Emma and I. He loved the card; it was a musical card(country music) that Emma picked out. He got a kick out of the fact that Emma wrote that right in the card.

And here is one of the goodies Emma found in her Valentines gift bag from Tony and I. She immediately had to bust out the Wii and play. That's my girl! :)

!(And sweet, cuz it's one of those kinds of gift that we can all enjoy! LOL!)

And this here is our little Missy Mae Oooops with a Emma's Valentine balloon tied to her collar. She was having fun trying to get it, as it followed her all around the house. Way cute!

Alrighty, I can finally show you the new kit hitting the shoppes today; "Urban Chic" by Creations by Rachael! I just checked, and it's not in the shoppe yet, but Rachael says today!!! So keep your eyes on the Plucky Pear Shoppe!!! This kit is amazing and must have! It's got plenty of attitude to go with those pics of yours!

Oh, I must show you the latest my Amanda Carlson from over at Elemental Scraps!!! This is "Tuff Stuff," it's a revamp of one of her very first kits. It's perfect for masculine pages of all ages. But, I'm thinkin' it will be perfect for some pics of my boys, Ace and Peanut! (That's the next LO I'll be working on.)
